My daughter M recently had a bladder infection, which although it cleared-up OK needed to be double-checked later by a paedatrician. He said we needed to get a urine sample to make sure the infection had completely gone.
So last night I sat with M wriggling on my knee, holding her in my left had and a copy of Eric Carle’s The Hungry Caterpillar in my right to keep her occupied. Holly held her left leg in a bucket of warm water to encourage the reluctant wee to come out. Twenty minutes later, a wet leg for me (water not wee) and a frustrated mum and dad gave up. How do you get a baby to wee when you want?
