2021 bucket list

Posted in: Me

In December I turned 47. That feels old and I am starting to realise that if I want to do things in my life, I had better get a move on. There’s not much point in waiting until retirement to see and experience the world. I was discussing this with my daughter who has just turned 13 and we have decided to try and do an annual bucket list of things we’d like to do. Here is mine:

  • Walk up Snowdon. Despite living in Wales for 17 years I’ve never been.
  • Watch the summer solstice sun rise.
  • Run further than I have before (currently 13.2 miles). I’d like to run from my nearest town Welshpool, to the next nearest Newtown which is about 16 miles.
  • Walk the length of Hadrian’s wall. We did a short section in the Autumn and it was amazing.
  • Cycle from Liverpool to Devizes visiting all of the places my mum lived.

More mundane things I need to do:

  • Complete the javascript course I have been meaning to do for at least a year!
  • Practice Italian everyday.
  • Do weights 5 times a week.
  • Run at least 2 times a week.
  • Stay off social media. It is a real-time drain and it has been affecting my mental health because it can be a negative place.
